One metal recycling plant using Sullair air power to recover usable scrap metal from items such as vending machines, cars, etc and process it into the form foundries need it in. And a foundry using this metal to mold in to usable items for waterworks operations and pump companies as well as to create metal building and memorial markers.
The foundry also uses sand molds to cast metal parts. Once the mold cools, they use air power to blast the mold off the cast part and move the sand into a recycling area where it can reused for up to 5 years.
In addition, the foundry has a master control system as part of their compressed air solution which detects air pressure and kicks on a backup air compressor if the psi starts getting too low. This helps ensure the foundry tools will not shut off due to air pressure loss. Which is extremely important as their production rates can total up to $600/hour.
