Andy Fayyad Joins Hitachi Global Air Power as Vice President Operations

Andy Fayyad is the new Vice President Operations at Hitachi Global Air Power

MICHIGAN CITY, IND. (November 11, 2024) – Hitachi Global Air Power US, LLC, an industry leader in innovative compressed air solutions, announced today Andy Fayyad has joined the company as Vice President Operations effective November 11. Fayyad will be responsible for continuing the company’s operations transformation at the Sullair air compressor manufacturing facility in Michigan City, Indiana.

Fayyad brings more than 34 years of experience in the industrial manufacturing space – with a track record of impactful strategy and execution. Prior to his role with Hitachi Global Air Power, Fayyad worked at General Motors Powertrain Group where he oversaw production facilities in Asia and the U.S. and led engineering, program management and sourcing programs. His experience also includes leadership roles at Xylem Corporation in Singapore where he spearheaded emerging markets operations, streamlining processes and implementing efficient practices. Fayyad is a seasoned expert in Lean manufacturing with international management experience leading teams in China, South Korea, Germany, France, India, and the U.S.

Fayyad holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Control Systems Engineering from Oakland University. He resides in the Ann Arbor area and will relocate to Michigan City in the coming months.
